Welcome to Leap, the creative stage for dancers everywhere! 


By using Leap, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”).


If you are under 18, please review these Terms with a parent or guardian.

Leap is for users aged 13+.

1. Who Can Use Leap

👤 Minimum Age Requirements

  • You must be 13+ to use Leap.

  • Accounts created by users under 13 will be removed.

 

🔍 Age Verification & Checks

  • To meet safety and privacy laws, Leap may use:

  • Automated age-estimation

  • Behavioural signals

  • ID verification (in rare cases)

  • Human review

  • If we reasonably suspect you are under 13, your account will be suspended or removed.

 

👨‍👩‍👧 For Ages 13–15

  • Some features may require verifiable parental consent.

👦👧 For Ages 16–17

  • Please ensure a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms with you.

  • ✔ Accurate Information

  • You must use accurate details when creating your account. No impersonation or false ages.

2. Your Leap Experience

Leap is a platform for dancers and creators to share videos, stream performances, and connect with others.

You agree to:

  • Use Leap responsibly

  • Follow our Community Guidelines

  • Respect the safety of others

Leap may restrict or remove accounts that break these rules.

3. Your Content

🎬 You Own What You Create

Your videos and posts belong to you.

By uploading content, you give Leap a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to:

  • Host it

  • Display it

  • Share it within the platform

  • Improve our services

This licence ends when content is deleted (except where legally required for safety, disputes, or backups).

✔ You Must Have the right to upload

You agree not to upload content that:

  • Violates copyright

  • Includes minors in sexual or unsafe ways

  • Shows illegal or harmful behaviour

  • Violates privacy rights

  • Harasses or abuses others

  • Breaks UK law

Leap may remove any content that violates our rules.

 

3.5 Copyright Claims & Takedowns

If your copyrighted work appears on Leap without permission, email: support@leap.style

Include:

  • Description of the work

  • URL/location on Leap

  • Your contact details

  • Good-faith statement of lack of consent

Leap will respond within 7 business days.

🔁 Counter-Notifications

If your content was taken down incorrectly, you may submit a counter-notice.
Repeat infringement may lead to account suspension.

 

4. What’s Not Allowed 🚫

To protect the community, you may NOT:

  • Post sexual, harmful, hateful, or abusive content

  • Share illegal activities or dangerous behaviour

  • Create fake accounts or impersonate others

  • Harass, bully, or exploit minors

  • Upload copyrighted material without permission

  • Engage in scams or spam

  • Use Leap for unauthorised commercial promotions

🔧 Technical Restrictions

You must not:

  • Reverse engineer our code

  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools

  • Interfere with servers or security systems

  • Circumvent age controls

  • Sell or transfer accounts

 

4.5 Illegal Content (Online Safety Act)

Leap removes and reports content involving:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)

  • Sexual content involving minors

  • Terrorism or extremism

  • Hate offences

  • Fraud or scams

  • Intimate image abuse (“revenge porn”)

  • Illegal drugs, weapons, and criminal activity

  • Human trafficking or exploitation

  • Encouragement of self-harm

We cooperate with UK law enforcement when required.

 

5. Age-Appropriate Settings 👶

We follow the ICO Children’s Code.

For Ages 13–15

  • Private account by default

  • Limited messaging (followers only, mutual)

  • No livestream hosting

  • Limited discoverability

  • Stronger content filters

For Ages 16–17

  • Messaging allowed with safety checks

  • Adults cannot message unless you follow them first

  • No monetisation features

  • Parental guidance encouraged

For Ages 18+

  • Full feature access

  • Monetisation (if approved by Leap)

6. AI & Synthetic Media 🤖

You MUST label content as AI-Generated or AI-Enhanced if it:

  • Uses synthetic voices/faces

  • Alters a person’s actions/words

  • Depicts events that didn’t happen

  • Imitates a real person

❌ Prohibited

  • AI content involving minors

  • Deepfake sexual content

  • Misleading political content

  • AI impersonation or fraud

  • Harassment using AI

6.5 Data & Privacy

We respect your privacy under UK and GDPR.

We may process limited personal data to:

  • Provide Leap

  • Maintain safety

  • Detect age violations

7. Liability & Disclaimers

Leap is provided as is with no guarantees regarding:

  • Accuracy

  • Performance

You use Leap at your own risk.

⚠ Not Responsible For:

  • User content

  • Behaviour of others

  • Data loss or service interruption

  • Unauthorised access

📉 Limitation of Liability

Leap’s total liability is limited to:
£100 or the amount you paid in the last 12 months, whichever is higher.

Nothing excludes liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence

  • Fraud

  • Any rights that cannot be excluded under UK law

 

7.5 User Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Leap against claims arising from:

  • Your content

  • Your behaviour

  • Your violations of these Terms

  • Your infringement of others’ rights

This obligation survives account termination.

 

8. Updates & Termination

Leap may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time.

Continued use = acceptance of updated Terms.

❌ Our Right to Terminate

Leap may suspend or remove accounts for:

  • Underage use

  • 12+ months of inactivity

You can delete your account at any time.

Some information may remain temporarily for legal or safety reasons.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
Disputes are handled by the courts of England & Wales.

Leap does not intentionally collect:

  • Racial/ethnic background

  • Sexual orientation

If such information appears incidentally in user-generated content (your videos), we only process it as necessary to run the platform and apply additional safeguards.

This Safety Centre brings together all of our key policies, protections, and resources for dancers, parents, researchers, and the wider community.

Our mission is simple:

🌈 1. Safety at Leap: Our Promise to You

We are building Leap with care, compassion, and clear rules.
Here’s what you can expect from us:

💛 We protect young users

Leap is +13 only.
We follow the ICO Children’s Code and apply stronger protections for users under 18.

We act quickly on reports of:

🤖 5. AI & Synthetic Media Policy

Creativity is welcome, deception is not.

AI is a powerful creative tool, but transparency is essential.

🧠 You MUST label content if it:

  • Was created using AI

  • Uses synthetic voices/faces

  • Re-creates events that did not occur

  • Alters someone’s actions or words

  • Could reasonably confuse or mislead others

Use the label "AI-Generated" or "AI-Enhanced".

    We NEVER share passwords.
